AMPt Photo Walk – London

Date: 06/01/13

Time: 11am

Hosted: Lewis Baker @Lewia_85

Meeting Point: Westminster Station (Circle, District & Jubilee Underground)

Welcome to the AMPt Photo Walk of London!

The day will provide opportunities to photographers of all levels, all types of photography from Street, to Landscapes and everything in-between. We will visit some of London’s popular places starting with the Houses Of Parliament to Covent Garden and more.

The Walk:

The day will start at The Houses of Parliament and Parliament Square and pass through and see the following but not limited to:

Westminster Bridge
Embankment ( Including London Eye and the street performers)
Jubilee Bridge
Trafalgar Square
Leicester Square
Piccadilly Circus
Chinatown
Covent Garden
On the day if everyone wants to go further down river toward Tower Bridge etc. then I’m happy to keep on walking. If we do go further down the Thames there are some great little places like the Clink Prison & The Golden Hinde (Full size reconstruction of Sir Francis Drake’s Ship).
When we arrive at Covent Garden we can find a Pub/Bar to have a refreshing drink and decide if people would like to keep on going depending on the time.

We will stop for regular refreshments during the walk as the weather could be warm… and on the other hand it could be wet (It is the UK after all!) so do come prepared in the event of poor weather.

It’s a great opportunity for everyone to meet new people in our forever expanding community and a great chance to learn from one and other.

AMPt Access Live: Dustin Vaughn-Luma @dvl

I have not yet met an artist comfortable with being stereotyped, generalized, boxed into a genre, a niche, a particular prescribed role. However, it is another, more complicated, more difficult thing entirely to BE an artist continually in progression. But that is the goal, isn’t it? To stay open, to stay fresh, to remain on the edge, to challenge oneself and one’s viewers, the world, to do the same. @dvl strives to do just that with easy, purposeful grace.

He will stand at such distance from his scene that the magnitude of life becomes the subject matter in the scale and scope of the human experience against sweeping nature. And then he’ll move in so tight, so close, to a Valley carpenter bee clinging to trowel, the sting will be a phantom thought. @dvl will shape an unfolding tension between human and nature, light and shadow, view and viewer.
